The resort is in a great location with beautiful views, lovely beach and good facilities. I used the gym, the padel court, 5 days of tennis coaching and 5 rounds of golf, all of which were easy to book and conveniently located. The breakfast was good quality as was most of the food available at the various restaurants. I knew that everything would be expensive in the resort but the actual costs were staggeringly high – Euro 52 for a pretty small steak which they overcooked at Piri Piri which didn’t include any chips, veg or sauces was extraordinarily over-priced. Service varied enormously. The concierge was often busy and understaffed meaning long delays in booking restaurants, which then required you to pay within 2 hours to secure the reservation – ridiculous. A few times I tried calling reception but they never answered and I had to walk over to arrange for my luggage to be picked up. The service in the Japanese restaurant was excellent. Unfortunately in the Pescador the service was abysmal – the waiters were arrogant, non-attentive, rude and unwelcoming. On one evening they made a menu for our half-board group with “catch of the day” which turned out to be farmed salmon! But overall I enjoyed the stay and it worked very well when we had toddlers with us.
The perfect holiday to spend with friends and family.

The perfect holiday to spend with friends and family. Just the right level of activities and chill out spaces. Would definitely return there. Only downsides are expensive babysitters (and the prices going up as we arrived) and expensive restaurants. Helpful to have a kitchen in your apartment to save on lunches and kids dinners.

We pay our bills on time and rarely make requests yet no one in the hotel even acknowledges our existence eg Never a welcome back. Always a where is your credit card. Never your room is on the xyz floor. Always go to the xyzzy floor. Your luggage will follow.

We had a 7 night stay at Pine Cliffs Resort as a family of 4 (2 adults & twin girls aged 7). On arrival our first impressions was that it was all very well kept and beautifully layed out with lots of different kinds of accommodations. We luckily were upgraded to a two bedroom Ocean suite which was absolutely wonderful! Stylish interior very spacious and fantastic for families. Two bathrooms, both with baths and showers, spacious living area and a small kitchen which was fully equipped with everything you need. There was plenty of pools to wonder around to, however we did find most of them quite chilly, and hard to stay in for a long time. The Breakfasts were always of a high quality with plenty of options of fresh food, however there was often quite a wait for omelettes, which you had to queue for. Sometimes if you went after 9am there could be a slight queue for a table but never very long. We were ‘Breakfast only’ and so ate out in the local towns for evening meals, which we thought was a great option as it was quite pricey inside. We did have one meal at the fish restaurant which was delicious and would highly recommend. The staff everywhere were so friendly, helpful and polite. The walk down to the beach is quite a long walk but beautiful when you get down there. Especially first thing in the morning when the tide is out. During the day though it can get quite busy though. The gym was of a good quality with plenty of equipment but could get busy and quite warm by midday. Overall it is a lovely hotel resort with lots of options of activities from Tennis to golf, however can easily be a place you can relax.

Only complaint I would have is our room over looked the central area amd 2 nights if our stay there was entertainment which was basically a loud DJ playing until Midnight, so not especially peaceful with 2 kids trying to sleep

They were ideally located near the entrance (which had a great shop), restaurants, pool and beach! The resort is very large so for us location was really important and on booking through Travel Beam I spoke to someone who had stayed there and recommended the Garden Suites due to their location which was definitely invaluable. Given we have a fussy eater the kitchenette worked really well for us as eating out for 3 meals a day can be very expensive. We enjoyed some lovely meals out- our favourites being Piri Piri, Yakuza and Maré. We also got a taxi and train to Splash and Slide for the day which was great for our 7 and 10 year old! Thoroughly recommend!

The property was lovely but I would not have considered it to be 5 star luxury. The bedroom was lovely but the public areas were very dated with very old and outdated furniture.
Only one of the 9 restaurants was actually open. Therefore we had to have lunch and dinner in the same restaurant both days.
Also there was no shower gels and shampoos available in the leisure centre to shower after using the pool and the gym. I would expect this from a 5 star resort.
However the staff were lovely and friendly.
Pine Cliffs staff were all outstandingly helpful…

This relates to a one week stay at the end of October in a standard villa at Pine Cliffs resort. The villa originally provided (no 19) proved unsatisfactory – leaking basin, defective safe and leak onto hall floor. After three days, we were moved to another villa, which was entirely satisfactory. Pine Cliffs staff were all outstandingly helpful and courteous throughout our stay. The resort is well maintained and with good facilities. The restaurants offer good quality, but at a relatively high
price. Overall, our family of seven people including two 6 year olds had a very enjoyable holiday and may return. Moral of story is be careful which villa you choose.

Excellent holiday. Description of the room was slightly misleading as the bathroom was `in` the bedroom but otherwise great.

Our apartment was clean and had lots of space. Housekeeping were amazing and always around when we needed something. Little confusion on the charges around the children`s activities; a consistent and clear message on arrival would have saved a lot of stress all round. Grounds are great. Breakfast was brilliant at the GRILL RESTAURANT. All the pools were clean and had lots of sun beds available. Pools were cold with young children but we just kept them out.
The Ocean Suite are fabulous…

We had a great week and The Ocean Suite are fabulous. But…. We found the food over priced and dissapointing. One night we ate in the O Pescordor restaurant and I had to poor our own wine all evening and the food again was disappointing. We will go again, but hire a car to enable us the have some meals off resort.
