There is an upgrade to all-inclusive available at Eagles Villas and at some of the higher room categories at Eagles Palace, at a supplement (with certain time limits and one bottle of wine with every lunch and dinner). The more affordable yet charming Eagles Palace offers standard rooms up to Family Suites and Two Bedroom Suites with a private pool. Decór is low-key with light airy rooms that feature traditional Greek styling.
Service is personal and attentive everywhere and you can even press an ingenious little button on your lounger to call your beach or pool butler. All the pools in the resorts are heated in low season. There’s a good choice of restaurants with grilled meats at Vinum Rotisserie, fresh fish at sea front Armyra or gastronomic modern Greek at Kamares at Eagles Palace. Eagles Villas has a buffet restaurant, located in the main building, and à la carte Italian restaurant Eleonas.
If you love water sports and beach life then this is probably the resort for you. There’s a PADI dive centre and a six-day water sports programme for children (age 5 – 13 years) introducing them to the basics of sailing, kayaking, windsurfing, water skiing and diving, under the guidance of RYA instructors. At the end of the week, there’s a Regatta, where children can take part in some fun races.
The Elemis spa boasts a choice of holistic treatments and therapies. Explorers can take advantage of a five-minute shuttle to the local village of Ouranoupolis or a cultural trip to the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Mount Athos.
