This very contemporary resort is Anantara’s debut in Europe. This flagship property, by the prestigious Anantara brand famous for its hotels in Thailand and the Maldives, is close to the charming town of Vilamoura, only 10 minute’s drive from the bustling marina and unspoilt coastline.

Overlooking the golf course, this Far-Eastern influenced resort offers sophisticated rooms channelling clean lines and art-deco. Recently the resort has introduced new Swim Up Family Rooms and Palm Suites for couples which enjoy the extra benefits of a full-service butler and exclusive access to Infindo Bar and all-day refreshments and sunset champagne. Also fresh additions include a new Gin bar, new Kids’ Clubs and areas dedicated to families in the resort.

The perfect destination for relaxation, there are three impressive swimming pools (one for adults only, the Palms pool is heated in low season) and a brand new Anantara Spa. Asian-influenced treatments focused on ancient healing traditions are extensive and indulgent, as you would expect from this very high-end brand, and there is also a Turkish Hammam, yoga and thai-chi sessions and a high-tech gym. Golf enthusiasts will revel in the 18-hole championship golf course, designed by Arnold Palmer, which can be directly accessed from the hotel.

There are a number of delicious restaurants to choose from including the new fine dining ‘La Cucina’ with Italian flavours and authentic gourmet delicacies, Portuguese restaurant ‘Victoria’ or an à la carte seafood lunch at ‘Ria’ in a tranquil pool setting. There is a complimentary on-demand transfer to the marina or beach by mini-van. Guests can enjoy access to nearby trendy club and restaurant Puro Beach in high season (charge applies).

Sensai Restaurant

The hotel's newest restaurant introduces guests to a variety of modern Asian dishes, infused with Portuguese ingredients. Including the exquisite classics of Chinese, Japanese, Indian and Taiwanese cuisine accompanied by sushi from locally caught fish, guests can indulge in their favourite dishes, with a twist.

Victoria Restaurant

With chef show stations the casual gourmet buffet restaurant brings flair to local and global flavours. Breakfast features the international classics, freshly squeezed juices and bakery goods while each night's themed buffet offers a rich array of signature chef creations.

Ria Restaurant

This relaxed seafood restaurant allows guests to enjoy made to order seafood lunches at their poolside lounger. Alternatively, guests can dine on the stylish terrace or inside the restaurant, watching live chef shows. Available from 01May17.
