This opulent and extremely luxurious property is part of the prestigious Amanresorts group and features distinctive accommodation including a handful of spacious two-bedroom maisons with private pools.

Located on the outskirts of ancient Marrakech, just 15 minutes from the Medina, the property offers dramatic views of the Atlas Mountains. Buildings at Amanjena, which means ‘peaceful paradise,’ have rose-blush coloured walls and high ceilings that mirror the architecture of Marrakech. Suites frame an immense water bassin within an oasis of palms and feature new luxurious linens and top of the range Loewe LCD TVs with surround sound and iPod docking stations.

Elegance pervades the resort’s two excellent restaurants serving authentic Spanish, Moroccan and Thai cuisine. There are tennis courts, brand new Technogym fitness equipment and a fine swimming pool. At the tranquil Health and Beauty Centre you'll enjoy two gorgeous Hammams, a glassed in whirlpool and treatment rooms.

Pavilions

Each air-conditioned Pavilion includes a bedroom/living room and a spacious bathroom and dressing area. The living area consists of a high, domed ceiling, a king-size platform bed and an open fireplace. Furnishings include a day bed with an accompanying table and chair. Bathrooms feature a stepped and colonnaded bathtub of green marble highlights. Each Pavilion enjoys a private courtyard complemented by a gazebo and a large lounging sofa.

The six Pavilions Bassin look out on to the central bassin of Amanjena which is located in the middle of the resort. Total floor space of each Pavilion and pavilion Bassin is 175m², including exterior space.

Eight other Pavilions come with a private heated pool (called Pool Pavilions) and an extended secluded garden.

The Maisons

An upstairs master bedroom and bathroom distinguish Amanjena’s two-bedroom Maisons and Maisons Jardin. Main-floor features include a living and dining area with a connecting bedroom and bathroom. The Maisons also come with a private swimming pool and gazebo.

The Maisons Jardin are favored with a garden and an outdoor fireplace and are served by their own personal butler.

Al Hamra Maison

A two-bedroom suite, consisting of two pavilions, a large and separate living and dining area with an open fire place. The Al Hamra Maison also enjoys its private swimming pool and two gazebos on either side of the pool. Butler service is also provided. Total floor space of Al Hamra is 750m².

Connecting accommodation

A number of Pavilions can easily be connected through gates in their private gardens.

The Restaurant

Open in the evenings only, it serves a la carte Moroccan home style dishes as well as a selection of international dishes.

The Thai

With three Thai chefs, dining experiences include tropical salads, as well as soups and curries enhanced by the freshness of some of the local ingredients, although vital items are flown in specially from Thailand. Open all day long, guests can take their breakfast and lunch here and at night there is full Thai menu.

The Pool Terrace

Open for breakfast and lunch, this terrace overlooks the pool and the adjacent golf course.

The Caïdal Tent

Upon request, special intimate dinners can be organised in our Moroccan Tent located in an olive grove.

If you like shopping, spend a day in the souks where you can buy all manner of trinkets, furniture and jewellery – but be prepared to haggle! However, if you want to enjoy some peace and quiet you will find many of the world-class hotels here are a sanctuary of calm with walled gardens and tinkling fountains, where you can enjoy a refreshment of mint tea and local pastries. We recommend that you also spend a few days in the Atlas Mountains, which are extremely beautiful and are home to some exclusive retreats.
