The hotel was in urgent need of some money being spent on it the decor was very tired looking and a lot of the walkways were broken and potentially dangerous. Having said that we were very satisfied with the staff and the catering and would return again only if staying on the club level. I didn't think it was value for money as so many parts were so in need of decoration and the holiday was not cheap!

Dear Travel-beam, Thank you so much for organising our holiday at the Hyatt Regency in Sharm El Sheikh. We had a wonderful time and loved the Hotel and the Regency Club. It was the quite nicest Christmas present we have given each other. We hope to return next year. With best wishes Sue Kerr The hotel was beautiful, surrounded by lovely gardens looking out onto The Red Sea. Our room was spacious and the large balcony had a wonderful view of the sea. It caught the sun first thing in the morning. Complementary water and fruit were placed in our room each day and the housekeeping was excellent. We enjoyed breakfast in the Regency Club. There was a good selection of cereals, fruit, cold meats, cheese and breads. We had to have breakfast in the main dining room on the day after the big storm. It was bit of a scrum but the hotel managed very well considering the amount of flooding and damage the storm had caused. The evenings in The Regency Club were delightful. We got to know the waiters and they learnt how to make my special cocktail and they brought us delicious tasty bits of food. We both enjoy swimming and it was nice to have a quiet beach with charming 'boys' to bring us towels and drinks. We swam in the main pool early in the morning and found the same level of service there. The one thing that let the hotel down was the food. It was fine in the Regency Club but when we had dinner in the main dining room it was very disappointing. We tried the Cascades Restaurant one evening and the food was good but it was so dark it was difficult to see what one was eating, even when we used the special torches they provided! Most of the time we had room service which was fine. We had a lovely holiday and hope to return.

The hotel was excellent, cleanliness, service, food, surroundings all second to none. The food was outstanding and we had a really nice week there and would most certainly return. All of the staff were polite, courtious and friendly, the service was excellent. We felt that the alcohol and soft drinks were very overpriced.

2nd time of visiting this hotel in 2009 and enjoyed the stay once again. The only issue we had was around breakfast and the service of the waiters in responding to requests for items such as Tea / Coffee or even butter. Requests seemed to take 15 minutes at times and resulted in a comlaint on the final day. However we wouldnt let this stop re visiting.

Very nice hotel. Clean, very good service - very customer focussed, good range of restaurants and food was good. Location was great, felt secluded with snorkelling and diving straight off the beach - which was wonderful. The week we went was not high season so didn't feel horribly busy and crowded (it was just right) - don't know how busy it gets but even in low season the towels were out on the sunbeds round the pool before breakfast! Expected food to be more expensive than outside - but the price of alcohol (specifically wine) came as a shock! Low grade wine you would pay £5 in a UK supermarket and maybe £20 max at a london restauraunt was £50, bottle of Moet & Chandon was £500 & a bottle of Lanson £650!! It was a pretty dry week. We were impressed and would go back. Would like to do a 2 centre holiday so could see Egypt.

We are repeat guests over the past 6 years and have found that the standards are still as high as ever. The staff are particularly friendly and can't do enough for you, wanting to help in every way possible. A place to crash out in the sun to shorten the Winter but with plenty of things to see and do if you are that way inclined.

Accomodation was good even though decor and furnishings were a bit tired. Dusty refurbishment of rooms underway in next door and ajacent blocks. Buffet breakfast excellent. Food in restaurents very good but a shade expensive. All drinks very expensive. Hotel setting wonderful and leisure facilities excellent. Staff very friendly and extremely helpful. All in all great holiday and good value for money.
