Absolutely fabulous - everything was just as we wanted. Totally chilled out. Reception very good. Accommodation excellent and clean. Swimming pool was out of this world. Staff very efficient and helpful. The bar in the associated Columbia Beach Hotel next door was very sociable particularly during happy hour when cocktails were half price. Only draw back was the price of the food and drinks. We are used to higher prices in 5 star hotels but at £12 for a pint of beer or £5.00 for an iced coffee was ridiculous. With the resort being at less than 50% capacity they should consider reducing prices to encourage people to eat and drink there - staff were standing around with nothing to do as most people either went outside of the resort or took food and drink back to the accommodation. Also they advertise a free shuttle to Paphos Town which was not available when we stayed in early September - taxi is Euro40. Pissouri Bay is fairly quiet with some lovely restaurants - particularly the Linaki Restaurant. Pissouri Town is Euro9 taxi ride. No shops as such but a few restaurants and bars. Hideaway Restaurant may not look much but their steak with fried onions and mushrooms was fantastic. We would certainly recommend the Columbia Beach Resort.

Customer rating:

The hotel was of extremely high quality and just as Travelbeam described. The hotel staff from the Housekeepers,Receptionists and Pool attendants could not do enough for you, they were very efficient and friendly nothing was to much trouble. The food in the hotel was first class and the restaurants provided a good mix of casual and formal dining. Room service was equally as good and again all staff were very efficient. The staff round the pool provided ice cold towels in the heat of the day and the frozen fruit which was lovely. The Spa was also very good and all the staff were very professional, the treatments were a little expensive and the treatments shorter than you would usually get in a UK Spa, but again it wasof a very high standard. If we were visiting Cyprus again we would certainly consider returning to the Columbia Beach Resort it was excellent.

I stayed at the hotel for 7 days. I thought the facilities were excellent, the staff could not have been more helpful and our room was lovely. I would definitely consider staying here again and we are going to look at going back next year. Everyone who manages and works at the Columbia Beach Resort should feel very proud that all their hard work has paid off with this particular guest. Thank you.

The hotel was amazing and the service was just as good. I recommend it highly, we normally stay in 5 star hotels in Dubai because they are hard to beat but this hotel was just as good at a fraction of the cost of the Dubai hotels. Would recommend flying business class the extra room on flight is worth it.

A most relaxing and enjoyable stay. The staff were very attentive and responsive to any requirements. Food in both restaurants was excellent with plenty of choice. Some excellent and very reasonably priced Cyprus wines were available . We will certainly return again.

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel special. The staff were amazing, efficient, friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The food was very good, breakfasts were a feast, and we had dinner twice in the Apollo restaurant , twice because it was so good we wanted to take our friends there. The room was lovely, bathroom, spotless and the turn down service was much appreciated. The toiletries were excellent quality, and my husband loved the dressing gown and slippers! I would go again tomorrow if I could afford it, a classic example of you get what you pay for. Wonderful. Thank you so much for organising it.
