Childcare meets designer chic at this trendy five star sea front hotel. Almyra, part of the Thanos Hotels group and a member of Design Hotels, is sister hotel to the nearby  Annabelle and Anassa in Latchi. It has the feel of a contemporary seaside resort and
families play a key part at Almyra (although it is also perfect for hip couples).

The interior is cool and contemporary but the staff are warm and friendly and the overall effect is very soothing. Rooms, which are minimalist and simple in décor, are refreshingly bright and airy with floor to ceiling windows. The garden and pool areas give a real feeling of privacy and relaxed style. The beautiful signature restaurant Notios really comes into its own at night with sensual lighting and the sounds of the sea in the background.

The AlmyraSpa has a range of treatment rooms, two spa suites with water therapy and an outside deck for yoga. In addition there is an indoor and an outdoor pool (both adult only), a state of the art gym and a tennis court.

The children’s facilities are simply superb. Special features include an excellent crèche and Kids’ Club and the inspired “Baby Go Lightly” programme, whereby everything a travelling baby might need can be prebooked from sterilisers, Pampers nappies and child pushchairs to storybooks, car seats and warm milk and biscuits at bed time.

If you like to venture out in the evenings, the restaurants, bars and shops of modern Paphos are a short stroll away.

Had a great family holiday for 10 days and would be very interested in returning next year. Connecting rooms gave our family of 5 plenty of room and the food in the daily themed buffet was delicious. Very clean everywhere and the cover over the pool was a brilliant idea to protect from the sun and heat. Only critiscm would be that the baths are too narrow so soak the bathroom floor which becomes slippery and dangerous. We also suggested that the booking for the childrens club was reviewed and perhaps altered so that it could only be booked the day before requirement. We arrived and discovered that the kids club was infact fully booked for the next few weeks. We succeeded in getting our older daughters into the kids club but only if they had a cancellation.

Main areas beautiful and great to have so many toddlers and babies about. Rooms not flash but pleasant and fairly clean. We had garden room at back f hotel near main road and very noisy! Would go for a sea view room next time. Food excellent. Flight wasn't till later in the day and nowhere to change after being at pool during day, which was a bit inconvenient.

Great facilities like creche and food was great/ we got a superior sea view room, this was a big let down. the room was small, the furniture was in a poor state/ the tv was from 1958 in a cabinet that was cheap and nasty/ no dressing table/ very poor 3star we upgraded to a Kyma Suite 5 star which was lovely and we paid an extra 130 euro a night for the pleasure/ on top of what we paid the agent we were then told by another couple they also hated the room and got a free upgrade. what a shame about the room and their conning us out of extra money when everything else was very nice 4 star resort/ 3 star room unless you're in a Kyma Suite.

Fabulous hotel, great combination of stylish interior, good food and perfect for babies and young children. Lovely staff who seem to genuinely like little ones and are happy to help wherever they can!

Very much the designer hotel with large open lobby/lounge and lots of seating areas. Rooms all with good sea views but the bathrooms as ever in these type of hotels more style than function. Basins too small and shower screen not long enough so wet floor!! Expensive to dine in but lots of nearby alternatives. Spa offers plenty of options but expensive for what you get. Customer services will organise all your needs re car hire, excursions etc but local car hire company used by the hotel provided a wreck of a 4x4 and charged top whack for it. Go out from hotel to organise car hire yourself!! Lovely setting on the bay and outstanding sunsets so overall fine place to stay in Paphos.

This has to be one of the most family friendly hotels I have ever been to, while retaining the things that matter, eg quality of food, cleanliness, adult only spaces etc. The kids club and crèche were amazing, Emma, Katie, Erica, Melanie just do such a fabulous job, the children didn’t want to leave. Our youngest was delighted to go to the crèche and despite being 2 going on 6 he didn’t moan once when dropped off. The activities arranged even for him were brilliant! As for the kids club, awesome. Overall, the place is amazing. We are definitely aiming to be back next year. There is no doubt it’s an expensive break, the food is dear if not on HB, the drinks are quite expensive too, but not any more so than in any other 5* hotel. The location was irrelevant to us as we did not intend to eat out in Paphos, which frankly is not much to write home about. If you do need bits the supermarket is a short 5 minute walk away, so perfectly placed. If I were to really nit pick, it would be the fact that it is v. accessible to those from outside the hotel, anyone could walk up to the pool area (both adult and kids). One night I walked through the hotel in the evening, to nip to the shop and was fairly sure that outsiders were using the spa pool (after hours). Maybe someone sitting there to ensure it isn’t used could be an idea. However, it really wasn’t that big an issue, just a minor observation. The other observation was that the clientele changed slightly during our second week (and with it the tone) - more couples without children - due to the Opera taking place in Paphos. We know we will return a little earlier in the school holidays to ensure the children have more kids to play with. If you have children who aged between 0 – 10 this is the hotel for you. Thank you to the whole team there who made our stay so wonderful. We hope to see you within the next 12 months!

The Almyra is most definitely a 5 star hotel. We think it is elegant, stylish and absolutely perfect for a family holiday. The Kyma suite is great and very spacious. The staff are lovely and the kids club was a huge success! This is definitely a place we would recommend - although we wouldn t come at this time of the year again. We ve been incredibly lucky with the weather as it s been gorgeous every day but today. However we're told that it can be very unsettled at this time of year and if the weather hadn t been good there would have been nothing to do. Fortunately we didn t have that problem. Anyway I m glad we didn t go for the Anassa as I can't imagine we d have liked it any better or had any better a holiday. We have stayed in a lot of 5 star hotels around the world and this one is way up there. The staff simply could not have done more or been friendlier. The kids club is fantastic and even the food was lovely and despite being half board, they varied the menu a lot so we didn’t get bored. The only complaint (from my husband) is that there isn’t really a beach – more a teeny tiny strip of sand – but as the pool area was so nice it didn’t really matter. I would not advise anyone with children to get a "garden facing" room however as they are really just facing a dual carriageway and are very noisy - particularly as there is a nightclub across the road. Anyone with children should ensure sea facing rooms and should also try and get one on the ground floor so that the kids can run straight out into the grounds. Also then very easy to get to the pool.
