This bohemian boutique hotel, owned by Orient Express, somehow manages to perfectly blend superb service and food with a relaxed atmosphere that slows you down from the moment you arrive. It is situated spectacularly on a hilltop close to the charming village of Deià with the dramatic Tramuntana Mountains as a backdrop.
The hotel, created from two private 16th and 17th century manor houses, has a unique style, charm and character. The rooms are lofty and decorated with chic Mallorcan influences, and some feature four poster beds. If it is gourmet food you want, the signature restaurant ‘El Olivo’ is one of the best places in Mallorca for fine dining. Deià also offers a small number of delicious eateries.
There is a beautiful spa with some private outdoor massage areas, spectacular views, tennis courts with a resident tennis pro, a gym sauna, steam room and an indoor pool.
A walking guide can be hired to take advantage of the fantastic array of walking routes around Deià, in the mountains and the neighbouring olive and citrus groves.Tai-chi lessons and yoga lessons are also available.
At regular intervals, magical classical music concerts are also held in La Residencia using the hotel's specially restored Steinway piano.
The hotel has been awarded ‘1st Leisure Hotel’ in Europe and No.5 on the ‘World’s Top 100 Hotels’ list in the Condé Nast Readers’ Travel Awards 2008.

Customer rating:

Rooms are very different. You may like us be offered a room that is totally unacceptable, having booked make sure the room is what you want. The whole area is very expensive. Breakfast buffet better at the Hilton in Watford and only 10% of the price. Nice hotel but can't really say worth the money.
