The hotel was originally built by Alfonso XIII in 1912 and is located right in the heart of the colourful city of Madrid and only minutes from the city's shopping centre, tourist attractions and fabulous bars and restaurants.
The magnificent building, highlighted by an enormous stained glass dome, has long been a center of Spanish society and its majestic marble facade belies period wood paneling, marbled pillars, chandeliers and elaborate balustrades within.
Guest rooms and suites are decorated in empire style, with some suites offering guests their very own Turkish bath. Named in Condé Nast Traveller's Gold List in 2005.
